Military Appreciation Day will be held on June 7th this year at Morehead City. 100 private boats are needed to take the military fishing for the day to show our appreciation. There are two parks on the waterway that will be the location for the event. More information will be available as we get closer to the date as volunteers are needed for many areas, besides bringing a boat.
Captain Chad Ferris of Tall Tails Charters out of Charleston, S. C. was the guest speaker of the evening. Chad does inshore sight fishing for redfish, trout, flounder, tarpon, jack crevalle and more. He shared a wonderful slide show presentation to the Club and explained different lures he uses with red drum and trout fishing. Chad is on the water 300 days a year! Chad has a website: www.fishcharleston.com. His telephone number is 843 209-5153. He can take 1 to 3 anglers a trip and does half, three-quarter and full day trips.
